Let me watch you dance. I coach you one-to-one, in a small group, at least twice a month, until you always know what to work on next, and how to work on it.
In a month, you know how to practise. In three, it shows in your rounds. In a year, your freestyle has transformed.

Training your freestyle on your own is hard in a very specific way.
Something feels off, but you can’t tell what. Is it the music? Your footwork? Your confidence? So you pick something, work on it for weeks, and you’re still not sure it was the right thing.
The hardest part isn’t the work. It’s not knowing if you’re working on the right thing, or working on it the right way.
That’s exactly what coaching fixes.

I’m Nickel, founder of Beyond The Moves.
When I started doing battles, an OG in France, Paul Erek, came up to me after an event. He told me I was really good, but that he could tell I didn’t know my strengths yet. And once I understood them, I’d improve much more.
At the time, I didn’t really get it. I said thank you and moved on. It was only later that I understood what he meant.
When you practise a lot, it’s easy to fixate on everything you need to improve. What’s much harder to see is what you already have, and how to make the most of it. Someone who’s really watching you dance can help you see it much faster.
And once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Things start clicking. You learn how to use your strengths in your dance, so you can build on what you already have.
On your own, that can take months, even years. With the right guidance, you can see it in one session, and then work on it much more effectively.
Since 2019, over 2,000 people have joined our programmes.
“What I really like about the way you teach is that you’re very calm. You have a lot of energy to give, but at the same time you’re very calm. On days when I arrive stressed, it helps me come down and focus on dancing.”

Marianna
Why coaching
For years, I taught through trainings: lessons, exercises, ideas to take into your practice. They work.
But in our weekly live class, I kept noticing the same thing. The people who progressed the most weren’t the ones who watched the most lessons. They were the ones who kept showing up and let me help them see what they couldn’t see on their own.
A lesson can’t do that. It doesn’t know you. It can’t see that you’re rushing the music, or that what feels like a footwork problem is actually a listening problem.
So I built this. Not another training to watch. Me, working with you, on your freestyle, on a schedule you can rely on. I’ve kept it small on purpose, because I want to know every person’s dancing, not just their name.
When my last coaching programme ended, people asked me to bring it back. When I did, some of them were the first to join.
How it works
Three live sessions a week on Zoom. Tuesday 6 to 7:30pm, and Wednesday and Thursday 1 to 2:30pm, London time. Come to the ones that fit your week.
You bring your priority. What feels off, what you want to unlock, where you keep getting stuck. If you’re not sure yet, we’ll find it together.
I watch you dance. I coach people one by one, ask questions, and we keep going until it’s clear.
You try it on the call. Everyone gets a few minutes to try the exercise, right there.
You leave with one clear thing to practise. You share your practice afterwards, so we can both track your progress.
I keep a log of who I’ve coached and when. If it’s been a while since your turn, you go first.

Where you’ll be
One month: we’ve found what’s holding you back, and you know how to practise it. Every hour you put in counts for more.
Three months: it’s no longer something you understand. It shows in your rounds, consistently.
One year: your freestyle has transformed, because you’ve proved to yourself again and again that you can pick a goal, work on it, and bring it into your dance.
What you get
Coached by me personally, at least twice a month. Guaranteed, one-to-one, in a small group.
Three live sessions a week, so there’s always one that fits, wherever you live.
A written recap after every session, with a paragraph on what we found for you.
Every recording kept, so you build a library of your own coaching.
Everything in BTM: the full training library, plus a community where you share your practice and get feedback.
Free entry to the BTM Gathering in London, a four-hour freestyle session, 7 times a season.
In their words
Here’s what some of the dancers I’ve coached have said.
“Before, I was doing classes and private lessons, but I felt like I wasn’t making progress. I’d watch videos of the dancers I admire and have no idea what they were doing differently. After we started working together, I started making real distinctions. Not just understanding things, but feeling them: oh, this is how you relate to the music.”

Dimitar
“I used to collect a lot of tools from workshops, but they weren’t really connected to the music. The biggest change was the priority: music first. Now everything I learned before, I play inside the music. That’s been a game changer.”

Artur
“Even with 20 years of dance experience, it felt like being a beginner listening to music again. That was exactly what I was looking for.”

Rachel
“I really liked that you don’t jump to conclusions. You look, you check. You give me one option to try, and if it doesn’t work, I try a different one.”

PJ
“It’s not easy from a laptop to see exactly what every dancer needs, but every time, you have magic eyes. You try to understand who I am.”

Favo
“The one-to-one has really helped me grow more, in less time. Six months ago, I wanted the confidence to dance in front of others. Now I feel even more inspired and free when I do.”

Marianna
Everyone progresses at their own pace, and a lot depends on the practice you do between sessions.
What I won’t promise
I won’t promise you’ll win battles, get booked, or become the best dancer in the room. Nobody can honestly promise you that.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if some of it happens. When you build real skills, results like these often follow. Either way, the skills are yours, and you decide what to do with them next.
What I can promise is this: you’ll always know what to work on next, and how to work on it. At least twice a month, someone who knows your dancing will check where you’re at and guide you to the next step.
And I won’t take you away from your natural way of moving. We build on what you already have.

Three steps to start
Start your free week. Choose monthly or yearly. You won’t be charged until your free week ends.
Check your inbox. Your welcome email arrives straight away, with the Zoom link, the weekly schedule and your access to everything in BTM.

Questions
Do I need to dance a particular style?
No. My background is in hip hop, and many people come to improve their hip hop freestyle. Others want to improve their freestyle within their own style, and that’s welcome too. My focus is on your freestyle, not on any one style’s technique.
What level do I need to be?
There’s no level to reach first. Coaching starts from where you are right now. If you’ve never freestyled at all, I’ll tell you honestly during your free week if regular classes near you would be a better place to start first. Either way, you can try it for free.
What if I don’t know what to work on?
That’s very common. In your first sessions, I’ll help you find your priority. Once we have it, that’s what we focus on.
How do you make sure I get coached twice a month?
I keep a log of who I’ve coached and when. If it’s been a while since your turn, you go first. All I ask is that you come to at least two sessions a month.
Can I come to more than two sessions a month?
Yes, as many as you like. Watching someone else get coached is one of the fastest ways to understand your own dancing.
What’s the difference between the three sessions?
Wednesday and Thursday are for coaching members only, so the group stays small. Tuesday evening is also open to BTM members, and coaching members are coached first.
What if I can’t make a session live?
Every session is recorded and posted with a written recap. Your own coaching happens live, and with three sessions a week there’s always one that fits.
Will my coaching be shared?
Yes, with the BTM community. Watching your own session back is often where it really sinks in.
What if I have a busy month?
Sessions don’t roll over to the next month. But when you come back, I’ll make sure you’re a priority, so we can catch up and carry on the work.
I don’t live in London. Is it still worth it?
Yes. All the coaching is online. The Gathering is a bonus for anyone in London, and people travel in from across Europe too.
How much time do I need?
Each session is 90 minutes, with a minimum of two a month, plus the practice you already do between sessions, now with a clear next step.
I already have an active BTM subscription. What happens to it?
Coaching includes everything in the membership, so it replaces your subscription and you keep all your access. If you pay monthly and join coaching in a month you’ve already paid for, I refund that month. If you pay yearly and your plan started in the same year you join coaching, I refund your yearly payment and you move to coaching yearly.
Are there any breaks?
No sessions from 14 to 27 December, or during the BTM Experience week in Paris in July 2027.
How do I cancel?
During your free week, cancel and you pay nothing. Monthly: cancel anytime, and you keep access until your next billing date. Yearly: your access runs for the full year.
You might be sitting on a gold mine and telling yourself you’re broke.
You already have more in your dancing than you can see. That’s what Paul Erek saw in me, long before I understood it.
Bring what you’re stuck on, or if you’re not sure yet, we’ll find it together. I’ll help you see what’s already there, and you’ll leave knowing exactly what to work on next, and how to work on it.
